GRASS 2026

Georgia Southern University
Saturday, January 24, 2026

Hi GHO!

Georgia Southern University is excited to be hosting the Georgia Resident Assistant Saturday Seminar, otherwise known as GRASS, on January 24, 2026! We are busily preparing to welcome delegations to our Statesboro campus and provide a full day of educational opportunities, professional development, networking, and more! Our theme this year is “Picture Yourself at GRASS 2026”, with a focus on the perspectives and viewpoints that our student leaders see each day in their multiple roles. Here are some essential things to know as you consider bringing a delegation to GRASS 2026:

·         The cost for GRASS 2025 is $45 per delegate (advisors and student leaders). Every institution may bring a maximum of 25 student leaders and five advisors. If you want to bring more, let us know, and we will reach out if we have more space.

·         Registration is open now and will close on December 1st. We can accept electronic payments through credit cards and ACH. If your institution needs to pay by physical check, please contact us so we can set you up with an invoice. Refunds will be processed through the close of registration.  Any cancellations after December 1st will not be refunded, but you can continue to make delegate substitutions through January 15th.

·         The program proposal form is now open and will close on October 31st. We HIGHLY encourage every school to consider submitting at least one or two proposals, if not more, for the larger delegations. Advisors can submit proposals as well! GRASS is an incredibly supportive environment for student leaders to present at, and our team is working hard to ensure we have resources to support the development of proposals and final programs. We also cannot have a GRASS without programs! This is an excellent opportunity for student leaders to share their experiences and knowledge with others. We cannot wait to see some AMAZING proposals!

·         We are putting together many other returning and new features to GRASS this year, including some late-night programming for delegations that will be staying in local hotels on Friday night, advisor and professional development tracks, professional headshot opportunities for student leaders, a stellar keynote speaker, swag swap shop, roll call, a banner contest, and more!

We have planned two Advisor roundtables/information sessions for you. This is a great chance to learn more about what to expect at GRASS, how to prepare your delegation, and to get any questions answered. We will host these via Zoom. The times and links are listed here:

o   September 25, 2025 from 1:00-2:00pm (https://georgiasouthern.zoom.us/j/87685449234)

o   November 3, 2025 from 1:00-2:00pm (https://georgiasouthern.zoom.us/j/83393381702)
