The Georgia Housing Officers was established in 1989 and strives to be the professional home for all housing and residence life employees in the state of Georgia. In addition to addressing current issues pertinent to our profession, GHO also hosts or sponsors three, state-wide conferences. The Georgia Housing Officers Conference is held annually in October and provides opportunities for all professionals to come together to develop competencies and discuss the latest trends in our state. The Georgia Resident Assistant Saturday Seminar (GRASS) is hosted each January for our residence life student staff members to enhance their skills. The Georgia Residence Hall Organization (GRHO) Conference is hosted each February to help students on each campus increase their leadership capacity.
There are three ways to connect with GHO. The first is through our website. Here you will find posts from professionals across the state providing valuable information regarding issues related to our work in Georgia. If you would like to contribute a post to the blog, please reach out to our state editor Benito Nieves.
The second is through Twitter by following @GHOInform. The third is through our listserv where you can engage with other housing professionals regarding current issues on our campuses. If you haven't done so, sign up to join the listserv. We look forward to engaging with you.
